Current Needs (May 2026)

  • Native foreign language speakers (esp. Spanish, Chinese) with time during business hours to help us communicate with clients

  • Spanish-speaking and other bilingual notaries to assist our clients with documents

  • Lawyers with Hawaiʻi State Bar License willing to learn to file habeas petitions on behalf of our clients, and/or assist with Special Immigrant Juvenile status cases in family court

  • Occasional handiwork to hang/fix things in the TLC office

  • Professional graphic design and printing

  • Seaside retreat house for 1-2 strategic planning meetings a year (group of 5-15)

  • Office or meeting space on Hawai'i Island for new staff and occasional client meetings

  • Chef to donate time & skills for special events

  • Gifts/gift cards of $25-$50 for volunteers

  • Court observers available weekdays, business hours (can be done remotely online) - training offered
